To collect this information we use monitoring tools, like Google Analytics, to anonymously count visits, track traffic sources and experiment with different content so we can measure and improve our site.

Checkout Information

We collect information about your interactions with our website, including your shopping basket contents and email address, if provided, to help us monitor and recover abandoned sales when a customer does not complete the checkout successfully.

Marketing Information

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will send regular emails containing product news, special offers and discount codes. The personal information we collect and retain is used for the operation of our business, helping us to conduct our day to day operations in an efficient manner. Angling Active promise never to rent, sell or trade your personal information for marketing purposes. We use this data to process your order, combat fraud, provide you with the best possible service and customise our website to improve your shopping experience. This data will be retained for the least amount of time necessary to conduct our operations efficiently, meet our legal obligations and cover the various business regulations in effect. The Flytyingden collect the personal data defined in this policy to fulfil our contract with you or for our legitimate interests.

Is it shared with anyone else?

As previously assured, we will never sell your personal information. There are, however, situations where we must share it with other businesses to carry out our normal day to day operations. We choose to collaborate with industry leading companies, who offer services that we cannot reasonably provide on our own. Couriers and Delivery Services

When we send an order or product to you, we use Royal Mail and Parcelforce as the means of delivery. For them to provide this service, we must share limited details from your Order and Account Information detailed above.

Payment Providers

When you pay for goods or services, either online or in store, you may choose to utilise the services of Stripe, Clearpay, Klarna or Paypal to authorise the transaction and process the payment. By doing so, we will share your Order and Account Information where necessary.

Performance Monitoring

To provide the Website Performance Monitoring detailed above we utilise Google Analytics. This is an anonymised service used by a large proportion of websites on the internet to monitor their health and performance. We have taken steps to ensure you cannot be personally identified by the information collected.

Service Monitoring

To help us maintain a high standard of service and promote our company, we use the services of both Google Customer Reviews and Trustpilot to request impartial, unbiased customer reviews from our previous customers. To enable this service, we must share select information from your order including your order number and email address.

Advertising and Marketing

To help us reach our customers we utilise Google Ads. When monitoring the effectiveness of this advertising we share limited transaction details with the Ads Platform. To communicate with existing customers through our email newsletter, we will share Marketing Information with our email marketing provider Klaviyo. We also utilise Facebook to help reach our customers and advertise our services and products.

Accounting and Stock Management

To help us comply with trading regulations and manage our fast flowing stock and orders, we use software platforms designed specifically for this task. Some personal information such as Order and Account Information may be stored in these platforms as part of their normal operation.

Legal Obligations

We may share your personal information if we need to do so to comply with a law, legal process or regulation. In addition, we may do so if we believe that the disclosure is appropriate to prevent physical harm or as part of an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

How personal information is kept secure

In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Modern encryption techniques are used when personal information is transferred. Our computer systems, servers and networks are protected by firewalls, antivirus and where necessary, are subject to regular external security scans from industry leading security professionals. Passwords are stored using the highest available encryption and cannot be viewed or accessed by our staff. Likewise, to maintain a high level of security we will never store your card details and we have robust procedures in place to protect card details provided during telephone orders. When information is transferred or stored out with the United Kingdom, we ensure that our partners comply with all necessary regulations and laws.

How do I control my personal information?

We have made it easy to control how your personal information is shared using your privacy settings. Your privacy settings can be altered to prevent the sharing of your personal information for the purposes of website performance monitoring and marketing.

You can find a link at the bottom of every page on the website that provides access to your privacy settings. Alternatively, logged in customers can access them by visiting My Account.

However, if you adjust these settings, you will restrict our ability to monitor our website and your experience, communications and marketing from our company will be less relevant to your interests.

Any changes you make will be saved for the duration of your visit. If you wish to save these settings for future visits please ensure you are logged into our site using your account. When logged in, any changes will apply to all future logged in visits. These settings take effect immediately but do not act retrospectively on data previously shared.

What rights do I have with the information collected?

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. Incorrect information can often be corrected by logging in to your Account and making the appropriate changes. You can also contact us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. Finally, if you change your mind, you have the right to request that we delete any personal information we hold, for example, if you have decided you no longer wish to be a customer of The Flytyingden. How we will contact you

When you place an order we will confirm the success and progress of the order with various emails we call transaction emails. To process your order we may need to contact you using any address, telephone contact number or email address supplied by you when placing the order. We will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you specifically subscribe to our newsletter.

Newsletters and Promotional Emails

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we will send regular emails with offers of products, promotions or special offers specifically relating to The Flytyingden. As a subscriber, we will use your actions on our website, including your order history, to customise and tailor the email content to ensure it is engaging and relevant to your interests.
